D

So, the emotions we are all feeling run the gamut. Personally, I find myself reflecting on David's humor, quirks, good nature and talent. On a lighter side I remember being with David and Shanin at a garage sale we were having at my house. (the garage sale was suppose to raise extra money to pay for wedding expenses... I think we all made less than $100). Anyhow... during some down time, David found a book we were selling and in that book was a test you could take to see if you could qualify to be a member of Mensa. (Mensa International is basically an organization for highly intelligent folks) David, of course, excitedly took the test. As you may imagine, the test consisted of mind-benders, math problems, recognizing patterns within words, etc. The results showed that he could easily be a member of the Mensa organization. Shanin also took the test and scored high enough to be a member along with David. David cheered me on as I too took the test... the results showed that I could "apply" to be a member. We didn't really understand what that meant. "Does that mean they would look at your application and have pity on you?... I don't get it" David questioned. We all laughed so hard about it. Knowing David, it is no surprise he could have been a member of Mensa. He could calculate carpet measurements so quickly and operate a 10-key so fast that it would take the machine 10 seconds to catch up to his speed.

Kristen, You worded that perfectly, "I don't get it". I can hear David saying that, as if I was there.
